Almost everything is planted

I bought these big 20 gallon tubs for our veggies this year. Today we planted cucumber seeds and greenbean seeds, in these 2 tubs.

I also transplanted bell peppers and tomatoes.
Here are the peppers.

Big Boy tomatoes. I put 2 in there, just in case.

Patio Princess Tomatoes

I also have Early Girl Tomatoes, but I need to get another pot/tub.

These are the herbs we planted last year. Chives, basil, and oregano. There were also Serano peppers, but I'm guessing they won't grow again this year.

The strawberries we planted last year are starting to flower.

And the roses are getting their leaves. I planted 5 bare root plants last year. So far they all lived except for one. I pruned them a few weeks ago and fed them today.

We call this one "Big Red." It's our red rose bush, and for whatever reason grows so much faster than the rest.

The mini rose bushes are doing great! The hibiscus just look like wood sticks, and the hydrangeas are getting leaves.

So far so good!!! I love spring!

Just Imagine the Sound of Music

Connor drew this for a poster contest for music class. The little drummer is saying "Make music and like it!" lol He isn't the best artist on earth *YET*, but he loves to draw and I love his creativity! You can click the picture to make it larger.

Picture of Air Force One

In case you never watch the news, President Obama gave a speech at Camp Lejeune on Friday, but he had to fly to Cherry Point (here) first since there is no where to land in Jacksonville. I had Patrick take the camera to work with him, just in case. =D He didn't get any pics of the Pres but he did snap this picture of Air Force One. Also, Brennen's class was outside eating lunch and they saw it fly over. Pretty cool huh!!!???
